In every municipality, you will find waste glass containers for the disposal of beverage bottles and food jars. Separating glass by colour is essential. Other types of glass or glass products cannot be processed in recycling facilities due to their different melting points (e.g. window glass, mirrors, drinking glasses or ceramics).

In Tornesch, Wedel and Quickborn, many types of waste and recyclable materials can be disposed of at the recycling centres. These include bulky waste, electronic waste, residual waste, construction waste, garden waste, hazardous waste, as well as all recyclable materials (paper, cardboard, textiles, glass, etc.).

When waste is delivered to a recycling centre, the type and quantity of the waste will be assessed, and it will be determined whether a fee applies.

Please check in advance whether the respective locations accept your type of waste. There may be quantity limits or exceptions depending on the location.
